This is a device I worked on while contracting at Ethicon in 2016. The device was never released, but it was patented (link to patent is at the end of the page).
I created the CAD for the the handle and the removable transducer housing. The shaft and the transducer inside the housing was created by an engineer.
Another designer directed the project and the brand language and such, but gave me a lot of autonomy in the work too.
The transducer housing with gaskets and everything was created by me, the internal part connected to the shaft was created by an engineer/s.
Here is a picture of one of the prototypes I made. It contained an actual transducer, and had the features inside to clamp and such.
